Back to School – Make Sure Your Kids Start the Year in Great Oral Health

After rumours that the Child Dental Benefit Scheme would cease this year, the government has announced it will continue, but with changes to the benefits cap entitlement.

From January, the benefits cap for a two-year period is reduced to $700. If your child’s two-year period started last year, they will still be able to access the remainder of their $1,000 benefits until the end of this year, provided they are still eligible for this scheme. The services covered remain the same, including check-ups and cleanings, fillings and fissure sealants and root canals and tooth extractions carried out in a dental practice. The benefits do not cover cosmetic dentistry or orthodontics, or any dental work provided in a hospital.

The CDBS is means tested and requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant government payment.

Contact Divine Dental on (07) 5455 6214 for more information or to book your child’s appointments. Please don’t hesitate to drop by at the practice at Noosa Civic, 1/28 Eenie Creek Rd, Noosaville QLD 4566.
